Mark Schneider has over 24 years of Nuclear Engineering expertise. He served twenty years in the United States Navy as a Nuclear Electronics Technician and Nuclear Limited Duty Officer. After retirement from military service, he went to work in the commercial nuclear industry as a Control Room Operator (Nuclear) for Dominion Energy at Surry Power Station. He then went to work for the United States Coast Guard as an Electrical Engineer (CYBER) for the C5I Service Center and was responsible for all shore based and afloat long-range communications systems.

In 2024 Mark emigrated to Australia in support of the AUKUS program and was hired as UBH Group’s Inaugural Chief Nuclear Officer. UBH Group is the first company in the southern hemisphere to earn their ISO-19443 Nuclear Supply Chain certification. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering Technology and a Master of Science in Cybersecurity both from Thomas Edison State University. He also has his Chief Information Security Manager accreditation as well all numerous project management certifications from the United States Defense Acquisition University.

Mark is married to the former Ashley Zysko of Merritt Island Florida, they have six children together. Mark met Ashley on board USS CALIFORNIA (SSN 781) while under construction at Newport News Shipbuilding.
