Patrick Byrne

Patrick is a senior associate in Clayton Utz's environment and sustainable development team. Patrick regularly acts for both private and public sector clients in a range of planning and environmental matters, including large infrastructure projects, resource and renewables projects, Planning and Environment Court and Land Court proceedings, and advising in relation to development applications and land use development including infrastructure charging and agreements. Patrick's litigation experience covers a wide variety of matters, ranging from master planned communities to resource projects and environmental issues.

Jon is a special counsel in Clayton Utz's energy and resources team and a highly experienced lawyer in regulatory regimes applicable to energy and resources projects. He has supported many mineral and petroleum businesses on all facets of energy and resources projects, in particular land access, regulatory approvals, compliance, competition and corporate governance. Jon also has extensive experience in contentious regulatory approvals and land access disputes and regularly provides advice on approvals pathways and mitigating challenge risk through the approvals process.
