Hosting an ER Law event 

When it comes to events today, you have options and we are here to assist.

For over 40 years, ER Law (formerly AMPLA Ltd) has been the leading facilitator of education and professional development for lawyers practicing in the Resources and Energy Sector. Our annual conference and our state conferennces are recognised as the premier resources and energy law events in Australia and throughout the Asia region. These events give delegates the best opportunity to expand their business network and build on their current knowledge and skills.

Once you have decided the type of event you would like to run, whether it be a 1 hour CPD compliant session or a 30 minute Market Insight "coffee chat" style, complete the appropriate event form below and we will get started on marketing.

Virtual Webinar- International, Local and Market Insights (fully online via Zoom)

Organise a virtual event to suit your needs;

Webinar (minimum) 1 hour with local, national or international speakers. Suitable as a CPD event. 

Market Insights - Topical, one-on-one interview style 30 minute format.

Branch Conference (in-person branch event)

Branch Conferences are held annually in Perth and Brisbane. Periodically in Sydney/Melbourne or Adelaide. 

Each year the one-day branch conferences bring together an informative, current and thought-provoking business program presented by leaders and experts in the industry.

The branch conferences not only provide high quality education opportunity (+CPD) but also the opportunity to meet with friends and colleagues to reinvigorate your networks and develop your career.

ER Law Annual Conference (in-person)

The ER Law Annual Conference is a national conference held each year in a different capital city each year. 

If you would like to express your interest in joining the national conference Business Programme Committee (BPC), please email us at events@erlaw.org.au or on an email below, we will put you in contact with the chair of the BPC. The business programme committee is responsible the programme content. Much work is undertaken by the BPC to ensure that the programme is populated with leading experts in the resources and energy industry, to attract a diverse range of professionals. 

Conference Format 

Over 13+ hours of business sessions, with expert speakers and 10 hours of networking opportunities:

Wednesday- Pre-Conference Satellite, Evening Welcome Reception

Thursday – Full Day Business Program, Conference Dinner

Friday – Full Day Business Program, Conference Closing Function.

Delegates

The Conference attracts over 200 delegates annually; lawyers in private practice, government and in-house counsel, and industry professionals. In 2023 the conference will be held in Melbourne. We will provide another high quality topical programme, targeting a 30% increase in delegates, reflecting the quality speaker line up and the desire for a return to face to face events.
